Fantasy Impact:
Nevin is without a timetable to return but has been shut down from all baseball activities given the diagnosis. MLB's Health and Injury Tracking System revealed that hitters with this type of injury tend to miss about 27 days of time, so Nevin's Opening Day status is certainly impacted. The 25-year-old saw action at third base, first base, left field, and right field in his 58 games for the Orioles last season but scuffled to a .197 average with just two homers and a .560 OPS across 184 trips to the plate. He was in competition for reps at third base for the Tigers in 2023 but will likely begin his season at Triple-A Toledo once he returns to health.
