Colorado Rockies outfielder Randal Grichuk could be slightly more than a week away from playing in spring games. (MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Grichuk underwent sports hernia surgery before the beginning of camp and has since progressed to soft-toss hitting and batting practice on the field. He was originally expected to miss the start of the season but an updated timetable has yet to be released at this point. The veteran hit .259 with 19 homers, four steals, and a .724 OPS in his first season of a five-year deal he signed with the Rockies prior to 2022. He only hit .205 with a .583 OPS outside Coors Field, however, as he'll look for better results outside of the league's hitter-friendliest park in 2023.
