Drew Pomeranz to throw simulated game March 16

San Diego Padres reliever Drew Pomeranz is slated to throw a bullpen session on March 16 as he works his way back from flexor tendon surgery. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Pomeranz missed the entire 2022 season due to flexor tendon surgery and while he will throw his first simulated game on March 16, he is still eyeing an Opening-Day return. The left-hander has been simply dominant since converting to a full-time reliever over the 2020 and 2021 seasons, combining for a 1.62 ERA across 47 appearances in that time. His return would be a welcomed addition to a Padres bullpen that slipped to 14th with a 3.83 ERA last season.
