Andrew Chafin tossed a perfect ninth inning in relief for the Diamondbacks Friday night, shutting the door and earning the save in a 2-1 win.
Fantasy Impact:
Chafin was one of the few bright spots for a disappointing Detroit club in 2022, posting a 1.17 WHIP with four saves and 19 holds in 64 relief appearances and will look to lock down a key late-inning role in an Arizona bullpen looking for more consistent options in 2023. The veteran left-hander could be a solid option for fantasy managers in formats that account for holds and saves and will be worth watching to see what type of role he will have for the Diamondbacks.
