Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes mashed a two-run homer as part of a four-hit night in a win over the San Diego Padres Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Gomes clubbed a two-run shot off Padres pitcher Blake Snell in the second inning before adding three singles, one additional RBI, and an additional run scored in a massive night at the plate. He's sharing playing time with the glove-first Tucker Barnhart behind the dish but Gomes is now hitting .309 with five homers and an .898 OPS that should help him gain more playing time moving forward.
