Jordan Montgomery had a decent outing against the Pirates on Saturday, striking out five batters in 5.2 innings pitched while allowing four hits, one walk, and one earned run.

Unfortunately, Montgomery was handed his seventh loss of the season as the Cardinals fell to the Pirates 4-3. Montgomery has posted a 4.23 ERA this season and is scheduled to face the Reds in his next start.
