Fantasy Impact:
Diaz has been progressing well and will continue to throw bullpen sessions through the end of September. It seems that if the Mets were competing for a playoff spot, there may have been a chance Diaz would have returned sooner than later. However, the Mets will play it safe with their closer and ensure he is ready to go for the start of the 2024 season.
