Christopher Morel to play first base in 2024

Chicago Cubs utility player Christopher Morel is being moved to first base in Winter Ball and is expected to stay there, according to president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer. (Bruce Levine on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Interestingly, first base was the only position on the field -- save for pitcher and catcher -- that Morel did not play in 2023 but he is expected to transition to first base beginning in Winter Ball. The 24-year-old impressed with his bat in 2023, hitting .247 with 26 homers, six stolen bases, and an .821 OPS across 429 trips tp the plate.
