Free agent two-way star Shohei Ohtani has been voted as the AL MVP for the second time in his career. (ESPN on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Not only does Ohtani possess multiple MVP awards, he is the first player in MLB history to win the award unanimously on two occasions. He has had the 2024 award locked up for months as he hit .304 with 44 home runs, 20 stolen bases, and a 1.066 OPS across 599 plate appearances while working to a 3.14 ERA along with a 31.5% K% across 23 starts for the Angels this season. The free agent will not pitch in 2024 after undergoing a second UCL procedure in September but should still land a historic contract on the open market.
