Austin Adams designated for assignment by Mets

The move comes after the club's signing of southpaw Jake Diekman became official. The 32-year-old Adams worked 24 games for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023, posting a 5.71 ERA in that time. He owns a career 4.17 ERA in 132 outings between the Nationals, Mariners, Padres, and D-backs.
