Sean Poppen signs with Mariners

Sean Poppen has agreed to terms with the Mariners. (according to MLB.com)

Poppen will join the Mariners on a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to Spring Training. The right-handed reliever spent all of 2023 at Triple-A in the Padres' system, but he has logged 63 MLB appearances dating back to 2019. Poppen has a career 5.08 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 67-to-30 K/BB ratio across 67 1/3 big-league innings.
