Leody Taveras's Efforts Not Enough in Rangers' Loss

by Matthew Adam | Rangers Correspondent | Tue, Aug 13th 6:53am EDT

Leody Taveras went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in the Rangers' 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite Taveras's efforts to spark the offense, including drawing a walk, his overall impact this season remains modest. With a batting average of .226 and a wOBA of .283 over 112 games, his fantasy relevance is largely dependent on leagues that value stolen bases or deeper formats where playing time is a premium. His speed does add a dimension of value, as evidenced by his 13 stolen bases, but his low batting average and power numbers limit his appeal in shallower or average-based leagues.
