Nick Pivetta signs four-year deal with Padres

Fantasy Impact:
The deal includes opt-outs after Year 2 and Year 3. The deal will pay him a $3 million signing bonus and $1 million salary in 2025, $19 million in 2026, $14 million in 2027 and $18 million in 2028. Pivetta was the top remaining starter on the free agent market and will provide the Padres with some insurance as they try to trade one of Michael King or Dylan Cease.
