Chase Hampton dealing with flexor strain

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Chase Hampton is dealing with a right flexor strain and "something going on with his UCL," per Gary Phillips of The New York Daily News. Hampton has returned to New York for further evaluation, and elbow surgery appears to be a possibility.
Fantasy Impact:
Hampton, one of the Yankees' top pitching prospects, was expected to begin the season at Double-A Somerset but now faces an uncertain timeline. He was limited to just seven starts in 2024 due to elbow, shoulder, and groin injuries. If surgery is required, it would likely sideline him for the entire 2025 season. Fantasy managers in dynasty leagues should monitor his status closely, as a UCL issue could result in a long-term absence.
