Ross Stripling signs minor-league deal with Royals
by Bruno Mulé | Wed, Feb 19th 7:18pm EST
Ross Stripling agreed to a minor-league contract with the Royals on Wednesday, which includes an invitation to big-league spring training. The veteran right-hander will compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster after struggling to a 6.01 ERA over 85.1 innings with the Athletics last season.
Fantasy Impact:
Stripling has been an effective swingman at times in his career but will need to prove himself in camp after a rough 2024 campaign. He is more likely to begin the season at Triple-A Omaha but could be called upon as rotation depth if injuries arise. Fantasy managers can safely ignore him for now outside of deep AL-only formats.
