Mets sign Connor Overton to minor-league deal

The Mets have signed right-hander Connor Overton to a minor-league contract, adding depth to their pitching staff. Overton last appeared in the majors between 2021-2023, posting a 4.85 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 38:23 K:BB ratio over 59 1/3 innings with the Reds, Pirates, and Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Overton has experience as both a starter and reliever, giving the Mets a versatile depth option at Triple-A Syracuse. While he isn’t expected to factor into the Opening Day roster, injuries or poor performances could open a path for him to contribute at some point. Fantasy managers can ignore him for now, but he could provide spot-start value in deeper formats if he earns a call-up.
