Luis Arraez (thumb) feels fully recovered

Luis Arraez said Wednesday that he feels like he has “a new thumb” following October surgery to repair a torn ligament, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Arraez played through significant pain in 2024 after injuring his left thumb on a slide in June but still managed to win his third consecutive batting title.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite leading the league in average, Arraez saw a drop in production, hitting .314 with a dip in slugging percentage from previous seasons. Now healthy, he could see a slight bounce-back in 2025, but his fantasy value remains largely tied to batting average. With minimal power and speed contributions, he remains a one-category specialist best suited for points leagues and deep roto formats.
