MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo believes Christian Moore has a strong chance to break camp with the Angels, citing the organization’s aggressive approach to promoting prospects. The eighth overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, Moore slashed .347/.400/.584 with 20 RBIs across 25 minor league games, finishing the season at Double-A Rocket City.
Fantasy Impact:
Moore was reportedly close to a call-up last season before an injury sidelined him, and with Luis Rengifo being used in a utility role this spring, there’s a legitimate path for Moore to claim the starting second base job. If he wins the role, his power-speed potential makes him an intriguing deep-league fantasy sleeper and a must-watch name in spring training.
