Víctor Mesa Jr. (hamstring) dealing with tightness
by Bruno Mulé | Marlins Correspondent | Sat, Feb 22nd 10:37am EST
Víctor Mesa Jr. reported tightness in his right hamstring Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Fantasy Impact:
The Marlins will give Mesa a few days to rest before re-evaluating his status. While the severity is unclear, any setback could impact his chances of making the Opening Day roster. The 23-year-old reached Triple-A for the first time last season, posting a .259/.319/.430 slash line with 13 home runs, 51 RBI, and five stolen bases. If healthy, he could push for a reserve role but remains a long shot to break camp with the big-league club.
