German Marquez hits 98 mph in live bullpen session

Germán Márquez (elbow) touched 98 mph with his fastball during a live bullpen session Tuesday. The 30-year-old right-hander told reporters Wednesday, “I feel so good. My arm isn’t sore. It makes me so happy.”
Fantasy Impact:
Márquez has logged just 24 total innings over the past two seasons due to Tommy John surgery, but his velocity returning to pre-injury levels is an encouraging sign. Despite pitching at Coors Field, he has historically been a viable fantasy option when healthy. If he maintains this form throughout camp, he could reemerge as a late-round sleeper in deeper mixed leagues.
