Tom Murphy will receive a second epidural shot this week for a mid-back disc herniation and be restricted to rehab work for two weeks after, per team reports. (Justice delos Santos)

Murphy’s out for Opening Day—confirmed after no Cactus League action and a late February diagnosis—facing a cautious rehab following a 2024 mostly lost to a left knee MCL sprain, leaving Sam Huff or Max Stassi to back up Patrick Bailey.
