Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Corbin Burnes has been dealing with shoulder fatigue over his last start or two. An MRI revealed only mild inflammation, and the team is optimistic he’ll miss just one turn in the rotation. The plan is for Burnes to return Saturday, May 10, against the Dodgers. In the meantime, Ryne Nelson is the leading candidate to fill in on Monday after throwing 68 pitches in relief on April 29 in New York. He could be stretched out to 80–85 pitches.
