The Boston Red Sox placed Romy Gonzalez on the 10-day IL with a left quad contusion, retroactive to May 8. (Boston Red Sox on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gonzalez has been out of the Red Sox lineup since Wednesday and currently has no set return date. Abraham Toro is expected to handle the bulk of the work at first base in his absence. In a corresponding move, the Red Sox recalled Nick Sogard from Triple-A Worcester.
