Tim Tawa expected to shift to outfield role
by Bruno Mulé | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Tue, May 13th 10:19am EDT
Tim Tawa is expected to see most of his playing time in the outfield for the Arizona Diamondbacks moving forward. This shift comes after the team recalled infielder Jordan Lawlar from Triple-A Reno on Monday. Tawa remained on the roster as infielder/outfielder Garrett Hampson was designated for assignment. Fantasy Impact:
Tawa had previously filled in at second base while Ketel Marte was on the injured list and has since operated as a utility infielder. 1 With Jordan Lawlar now expected to be the Diamondbacks' top utility infielder, Tawa will transition to an outfield role, which will include some action in center field. He has made one start in left field for Arizona this season and made 26 starts in the outfield in the minors during 2024.
