Gilbert, who has been on the 15-day IL since May 17 with a sprained MCL in his left knee, began his rehab assignment on Wednesday. It's currently unknown how many rehab appearances he'll make before being activated. This season, he's posted a 4.85 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 13 innings with the White Sox.
