Fantasy Impact:
Burnes had recently sought a second opinion on his ailing right elbow that has seemingly led to Tommy John surgery. Signed to a six-year, $210 million contract in the offseason, Burnes will miss the remainder of the 2025 season and potentially the entirety of the 2026 campaign, as well. The veteran pitched to a 2.66 ERA in 11 starts prior to hitting the IL but also posted a career-worst 14% K-BB% in the process.
