Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy stated that Josh Smith should be available to pinch-hit on Thursday and anticipates he will be ready for the weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. (Kennedi Landry on Twitter)

Smith has missed three consecutive games due to a tight left hamstring, but it sounds like he will avoid the injured list and is expected back in the lineup at some point during the weekend series against the Pirates.
