Camilo Doval threw a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Guardians on Thursday. He did not allow a baserunner while picking up one strikeout in the frame.

Doval needed just 11 pitches to slam the door on Cleveland to help the Giants pick up the win. The veteran closer now has a 1.59 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 11 saves and 33 strikeouts over 34 innings of work while blowing just three saves. He continues to have a firm grasp on the closer role in San Francisco.
