Hancock has been optioned to the minors after Tuesday’s start, in which he allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while recording just one strikeout. He’s struggled throughout the season, posting a 5.47 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. In a corresponding move, Joe Jacques has had his contract selected from Triple-A Tacoma.
