The New York Yankees have recalled second baseman Jorbit Vivas from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday. (New York Yankees on Twitter)

Vivas will take the roster spot that was opened when the club designated veteran DJ LeMahieu for assignment on Wednesday. The 24-year-old has hit .285 with four homers, eight steals, and an .802 OPS across 53 Triple-A appearances this season.
