Fantasy Impact:
Ruiz was placed back on the IL Tuesday, one day after he was activated from his initial IL stint, which stemmed from a concussion he sustained on June 23 after being struck in the head by a foul ball while standing near the dugout railing in San Diego. Although Ruiz passed all of MLB’s required tests to return last week, the quick recurrence of another head injury is concerning. While he's progressing well, the team is expected to be cautious with his recovery and likely won't activate him again until he's fully recovered and feeling 100 percent.
