Athletics outfielder Denzel Clarke has begun a hitting and running progression as he works his way back from a Grade 2 right adductor strain. (Martin Gallegos on Twitter)

Clarke last appeared on July 20 before hitting the shelf with the hip ailment. The 25-year-old has shown his prowess with the glove but has hit .230 with three homers and a .646 OPS across 47 games this season.
