Julian Merryweather signs minor league deal with Brewers

Merryweather will report to Triple-A Nashville after signing a minor league deal with the Brewers. The transaction comes after he opted out of his contract with the Mets. In the majors this year, he's posted a 5.79 ERA and 1.82 WHIP over 18.2 major league innings.
