Houston Roth designated for assignment

Fantasy Impact:
The O's needed to clear a 40-man roster spot for Daniel Johnson, who was claimed off waivers from the Giants, and Roth is the odd man out. He recently spent a couple of days with the Orioles but was sent back to Triple-A Norfolk, where he owns a stellar 2.25 ERA in 18 appearances this season.
