Fantasy Impact:
Alvarez, who landed on the injured list with a sprained UCL in his right thumb on August 18, suffered his new injury in the sixth inning of Wednesday's minor league game, his first in the rehab assignment. He is now awaiting X-ray results, after which the New York Mets will likely provide an updated timeline for his return.
