Cristian Javier struggles in loss to Blue Jays
by Chase Davis | Astros Correspondent | Fri, Sep 12th 8:59am EDT
Cristian Javier allowed four earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings in Thursday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
After today’s start, Javier now has a 4.78 ERA and 1.29 WHIP to go with a 1-3 record across six games started this season. This outing marks the second time he's been able to complete six innings in six starts since returning from Tommy John. His strikeout rate is way down, and his walk rate up, compared to his impressive 2022 season. However, his quality of contact given up is much better than any year since, and similar to that career year. He'll look to keep building his way back next week against the Rangers.
