The status remains unclear for Will Smith heading into the postseason.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Friday he’s more “hoping” than “hopeful” that Smith will return in time for the Wild Card series. He has been sidelined for the past couple of weeks with a hairline fracture in his right hand.
