Josh Walker claimed by Atlanta

Atlanta claimed left-hander Josh Walker off waivers from the Orioles on Thursday. Baltimore had signed Walker to a major-league contract on Nov. 4 but removed him from the 40-man roster two days later. The 29-year-old now heads to a new organization after posting a career 6.59 ERA with a 31:14 K:BB over 27.1 innings across parts of three MLB seasons. He does not have minor-league options remaining.
