Nick Sandlin removed from 40-man

Nick Sandlin (elbow) cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports. He posted a 2.20 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 16.1 innings for Toronto in 2025 before right elbow inflammation put him on the injured list in early July. Multiple setbacks kept him from returning, and he owns a 3.19 ERA across his first five MLB seasons.
Fantasy Impact:
Sandlin is coming off an effective but injury-shortened season and is now off Toronto’s 40-man roster. He is expected to elect free agency, giving him the opportunity to seek a new landing spot for 2026.
