Enrique Hernandez undergoes elbow surgery

Enrique Hernandez underwent surgery on his left elbow Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports. He had been playing through the injury throughout the second half and the postseason before opting for the procedure. The surgery will keep him out of the World Baseball Classic in March, and his availability for Opening Day is not yet known.
