Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes indicated last week that River Ryan (elbow) is expected to undergo a "normal" buildup during spring training. By that time, the right-hander will be 18 months removed from the Tommy John surgery he underwent in August 2024. (Jeff Fletcher)
Fantasy Impact:
Despite the encouraging health update, Ryan is expected to begin the 2026 season in the minors following his extended absence. Before the injury in 2024, the 27-year-old posted a 1.33 ERA with an 18:9 K:BB ratio across 20.1 innings over four starts for Los Angeles.
