Joe Kelly calls it a career after 13 MLB seasons

by David Leisering | Mon, Dec 29th 5:06pm EST

Joe Kelly has announced that he is "done playing baseball" after 13 big league seasons. The righthander pitched for the Cardinals, Red Sox, Dodgers, and White Sox during his MLB career. (FOX Sports: MLB on X)

Fantasy Impact:

In true Joe Kelly fashion, he is not calling it a "retirement" but a "no longer playing" after last pitching in 2024 with the Dodgers. The three-time World Series champion had a successful career, going 54-38 with a 3.96 ERA over 839 innings. Kelly, a third-round pick by the Cardinals in 2009, was particularly successful in his three Fall Classic appearances posting a 2.03 ERA with 19 strikeouts over 13.1 innings. He won rings with the Red Sox in 2018 and twice with the Dodgers in 2020 and 2024.
