Fantasy Impact:

Waldichuk, who turned 28 today, was once a top-100 MLB prospect. The lefthander pitched in 42 games (29 starts) with the Athletics in 2022 and 2023 and pitched to a 5.28 ERA in 175.2 innings. Waldichuk underwent Tommy John surgery and missed all of 2024 and then struggled to an 8.65 ERA in Triple-A Las Vegas over 51 innings last season. Over four minor league seasons, Waldichuk has struck out 417 batters in 288.1 innings while pitching to a 4.00 ERA. The southpaw heads to Atlanta in the hopes of resurrecting his promising career.
