Jose Soriano avoids arbitration with Angels

by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Fri, Jan 9th 7:36am EST

Jose Soriano and the Angels have avoided arbitration with the two sides settling on a $2.9 million salary for 2026. (Jeff Fletcher on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Soriano started a career-high 31 games for the Angels last season and went 10-11 with a 4.26 ERA and 152 strikeouts in 169 innings. Soriano is one of the best ground ball pitchers in the league, posting a ground ball rate of 64.5% and a fly ball rate of a miniscule 12.1% last season. Soriano did get injured towards the end of last season with a forearm contusion, but he should be ready to go for the spring and remain in the Angels' starting rotation in 2026.
