Luis Garcia has agreed to a contract with the Washington Nationals and avoided arbitration with the club. Garcia will make $6.875 million in 2026. (Spencer Nusbaum on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Garcia, who will turn 26 in May, is starting to become one of the better fantasy second basemen in baseball after posting back-to-back solid seasons in Washington. Last year, Garcia had a bit of a decline, but still batted .252 with 16 home runs and 14 stolen bases in 139 games. He should be a regular starter and should hit in the middle of the Washington lineup in 2026.
