Luis Torrens and the New York Mets avoided arbitration and Torrens is set to make $2.275 million in 2026. (Will Sammon on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Torrens appeared in 92 games for the Mets last season and batted .226 with five home runs and 29 RBI. The catcher, however, led all of MLB by throwing out 40.8% of potential base stealers (20-of-49). In his eight seasons at the big league level, Torrens has hit .227 with 27 home runs in 408 career games. Torrens will likely be the backup catcher for the Mets in 2026, but will be on standby if Francisco Alvarez gets injured or struggles.
