Jack Winkler has agreed to a minor league deal with the Houston Astros. The deal presumably includes an invitation to big league camp. (MiLB Central on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Winkler made his big league debut with the Marlins last season and went 4-for-16 with a pair of doubles and a stolen base in 14 games. The utility infielder is a career .234 hitter across five seasons in the minors. He hits an occasional home run, but he is much more known for his decent speed as he is 83-for-97 in his stolen base attempts. He was a perfect 25-for-25 last season with Triple-A Jacksonville. Winkler will likely head to Triple-A Sugar Land, but could eventually make his way back to the majors at some point in 2026.
