Fantasy Impact:
Arizona traded Blaze Alexander to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, creating a clearer path for former No. 6 overall pick Jordan Lawlar to make the Opening Day roster. Lawlar logged some outfield work in the Dominican Republic this winter and could open the season in left or center field if he has a strong spring, though general manager Mike Hazen said he will also continue to see time in the infield during camp. The 23-year-old appeared in 28 major-league games last season, posting a .182/.257/.288 slash line across 74 plate appearances.
