Edwin Uceta wins arbitration hearing against Rays

Edwin Uceta won his arbitration hearing against the Tampa Bay Rays and will make $1.525 million in 2026. The Rays filed at $1.2 million. (Mark Feinsand on X)

Uceta went 10-3 with a 3.79 ERA in 70 appearances with the Rays last season, striking out 103 batters in 76 innings. The righthander has pitched with the Dodgers, Diamondbacks, Mets, and Rays over the span of five seasons and has a 3.70 ERA with 201 strikeouts in 158 innings. With Pete Fairbanks no longer with the Rays, Uceta will compete in the spring for the closer's role in 2026.
