Bryan Baker recorded the final out of Tuesday’s 8-5 win over the Chicago White Sox to earn his third save of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Baker replaced Yoendrys Gómez in the ninth inning after he ran into trouble while attempting a two-inning save. He entered with a runner on second and one run already in, then induced Edgar Quero to fly out to center field to seal the victory. On the year, Baker is 3-for-4 in save opportunities and owns a 4.26 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 6.1 innings. He should continue to see chances in Tampa Bay’s closer-by-committee approach.
